The Hub is a mobile, online and print news resource for Angelenos in their 20s and 30s with staff-written content from our writers and breaking news. We hope that readers of The Hub will find stories that have all but disappeared from traditional local news sources.
Affiliated with the Word Journal, which is the largest Chinese language daily publication in Southern California, The Hub will be a daily spot to find curated locally sourced information.
Every day online The Hub will offer breaking news, fashion, investment advice, music and restaurant reviews, political commentary and more. Find The Hub in print every other Thursday in Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena, Glendale, Torrance and West Covina.
The Hub is edited by Carolina Garcia, formerly the executive editor of the Los Angeles Daily News. Ms. Garcia has been involved in several award-winning projects throughout her career in journalism. The Hub was founded by publisher and award winning journalist Frank C. Girardot, the former editor of the Pasadena Star-News and author of several true crime books.
