The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Thursday to $3.749, its highest price since Aug. 21, 2015, experts said.
The average price has increased 8.7 cents over the past 17 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price of gas is 72.3 cents higher than one year ago. It has
risen 59.9 cents since the start of the year.
Orange County’s average price for gas also rose, increasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.713, its highest amount since Aug. 20, 2015.
The average price of gas is 69.2 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 59.7 cents since the start of the year.
