BELLFLOWER (CNS) – The coroner’s office today released the name of a man found shot to death outside a Bellflower house party.
Oscar Ruiz, 25, was a Compton resident, coroner’s investigator Jerry McKibben said.
The shooting was reported at 12:35 a.m. Sunday following a fight in front of a home in the 17100 block of Downey Avenue, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.
Deputies from the sheriff’s Lakewood station found the shooting victim in front of the residence suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body, sheriff’s officials said.
The victim now identified as Ruiz was pronounced dead at the scene and the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said no suspect description was released.
