Man accused of stabbing relatives shot in Highland Park


LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A man in Highland Park was critically wounded when he attacked family members with a knife and was shot during the assault, police said Sunday.

The incident was reported at 3:18 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of North Avenue 65, LAPD Officer Tony Im said.

At least two family members suffered some injuries from the assault, according to Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.

The ages, genders and conditions of the victims were not available, Im said. Four ambulances were summoned to the scene to aid four people, he added.
