BALDWIN PARK (CNS) – A 73-year-old woman and her 50-year-old son were found dead today in Baldwin Park.
The man and woman were discovered unresponsive about 5:25 a.m. in separate rooms of a home in the 3900 block of Kenmore Avenue and were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“Relatives who lived within the home discovered the male unresponsive in the morning and called 911,” according to a sheriff’s department statement. “Neither victim appeared to suffer any traumatic injury.” Reports from the scene indicated the woman and her son had moved into the residence several months ago.
“At this time, we’re not looking for any suspects,” sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Rodriguez told ABC7. “But we are still trying to gather as much information as possible.”
The coroner’s office, which will investigate the causes of death, withheld the decedents’ names pending notification of their relatives.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were assisting Baldwin Park police in the investigation.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
