Man stabbed in chest at downtown McDonald’s; known suspect at large


LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A man about 50 years old was stabbed in the chest this afternoon in a McDonald’s restaurant in downtown Los Angeles and the suspect was at large.

The stabbing was reported about 4:40 p.m. at the McDonald’s at Central Avenue and Olympic Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison.

The victim was taken to a hospital. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

The suspect, described as a transgender male, fled the scene and was at large, but is known to investigators, Madison said.

The suspect and victim may have known one another, Madison said.
