Monterey Park police nab commercial burglary suspects


MONTEREY PARK (CNS) – The second of two men suspected of burglarizing a business in Monterey Park was arrested today, police reported.

Carlos Antonio Estrada, 43, of Rosemead was arrested in San Gabriel, according to Monterey Park police Sgt. Rick Munder.

Another man, Lei Gao, 36, was arrested on Monday in San Gabriel, his city of residence, Munder said.

The arrests stem from an investigation into the commercial burglary, which occurred about 9:20 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of West Garvey Avenue, according to Munder, who said search warrants were served at the suspects’ homes.

Both men were booked on suspicion of commercial burglary. Bail was set at $145,000 for Gao and $50,000 for Estrada, the sergeant said.
