DOWNEY (CNS) – Police investigating a shooting at a Downey park that left a man hospitalized said today they do not believe the attack was random and sought witnesses to the crime.
Officers were sent about 3:30 a.m. Sunday to the area of Little Lake Road and Florence Avenue, where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body, according to Downey police.
The man, whose name and age were not released, is expected to recover from his wounds, according to Downey police Detective Leigh Lacy.
