Sheriffs arrest man, seize handgun and narcotics in northwest Pasadena

PASADENA (CNS) – Deputies arrested a man with a gun and narcotics at Hahamongna Watershed Park in northwest Pasadena this afternoon.

Deputies from the sheriff’s Crescenta Valley Station had been searching for a man who brandished a gun Tuesday near Berkshire Place and Berkshire Avenue. A suspect with a similar description committed battery at a fast food restaurant in the 400 block of Foothill Boulevard around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

A La Canada Flintridge community service assistant saw a vehicle parked in the upper parking lot of Hahamongna Watershed Park, near Foothill Boulevard and Oak Grove Drive and La Canada High School, which seemed to match a vehicle involved in the earlier incident.

The assistant alerted deputies, who arrived and detained the suspect.

Authorities reported seizing a handgun and narcotics, and are investigating if the suspect is connected with the earlier crimes.
