INGLEWOOD (CNS) – A 31-year-old man suspected of robbing six South Bay banks or credit unions has been arrested in Inglewood, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced today.
Trayvon McNutt was arrested early Sunday when an officer spotted his parked, gold-colored Cadillac XTS, officials said. He was pulled over and arrested for multiple outstanding traffic warrants, according to the sheriff’s department.
The bank and credit union robberies to which McNutt has been linked occurred in the South Bay area between June 29 and Sept. 27, officials said, adding that losses totaled thousands of dollars.
McNutt was released after posting $40,200 bail, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
Detectives will present their case to the prosecutors for possible criminal filing.
“If convicted of the criminal charges, suspect McNutt would be facing significant time in state prison,” according to a sheriff’s department statement.
