On Wednesday, Oct. 11, the Monrovia Planning Commission will vote on whether to approve a Conditional Use Permit allowing Wingwalker Brewing to open a brewery at 235 West Maple Avenue.
According to a Planning Commission staff report, the brewery’s tasting room would be open to the public from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday.
“It would appear that Monrovia is developing a reputation as a semi-underground but super cool craft brewery scene,” Monrovia City Manager Oliver Chi said.
If approved, Wingwalker Brewing will be the fourth craft microbrewery operating in Monrovia, and the second approved on Maple Avenue, joining Over Town Brewing Company at 227 West Maple Avenue. Pacific Plate and Hop Secret already operate in the city.
