From face painting to metalworking, the Open Arts & Music Festival in Glendale will celebrate all things art with food and Music on Saturday.
Bands will perform on the Main Stage throughout the day, performers include Allah-Las, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Jesse Jo Stark, La Chamba, Thumpasaurus, and The Altons. The festival, sponsored by Glendale Arts and the Downtown Glendale Association, is free and open to the public.
Visitors can browse an arts market with artists showcasing their original paintings, metal work, photography, printmaking and more. The festival includes artist workshops and kid-friendly activities like face painting, crafting tables and theater workshops.
Adults can enjoy a beer garden featuring Frogtown Brewery, Simmzys Restaurant and Brewery, Pacific Plate Brewery, Lincoln Beer Company, Henson Brewing Company and Brewyard Beer Company, and others.
Check out public art installations, such as live painting and crosswalk decorating, plus an interactive VR Booth by StandardVision. The Mood Machine experience was created in collaboration with NYC-based digital artist Matthew Keff and sound design by Lewis Cancut.Other public art works include live painting and crosswalk decorating.
