On Saturday, the Los Angeles Plaza de Cultura y Artes will host a screening of the 1987 comedy Born in East L.A., starring comedian Cheech Marin.

Based on a song by the same name by Marin, the film tells the story of a man wrongly deported, who risks everything to get home to East Los Angeles.

After the film, there will be a panel discussion with cast members Kamala Lopez, Geoffrey Rivas, and others. Additionally, food will be provided by Zingo Tacos, Love Swirls, and Viva Los Cupcakes, with other vendors also present.
