Tuesday – Bomb: A Love Story
In this film, the Iran-Iraq War in 1988 is the backdrop for both relentless bombing and love. This international phenomenon has swept awards ceremonies the world over, and will be screened for Angelenos at Laemmle Town Center 5, at 17200 Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles. Wednesday – Game of Thrones Trivia
Get your inner Tyrion Lannister ready for the final season of Game of Thrones next month at Angel City Bewery in the Arts District, where attendees to this Game of Thrones trivia night will have a chance to drink and know things. Prizes are up for grabs, so don’t be late!
Thursday – Crafted in L.A.: Studio Number One Art Exhibition
Return to Angel City on Thursday to see Shepard Fairey’s design team Studio Number One showcase some of its artists’ works, as well as the evolution of the new logo and packaging. This gallery open house will feature a tour of the artwork, a chance to meet the artists, and a look behind the scenes into the whole proces.
Friday – Birdman: Film + Live Drum Score With Antonio Sanchez
Michael Keaton’s 2015 Best Picture winner “Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance),” directed by maverick director Alejandro Iñárritu, was hailed as a masterpiece when it was first released, thanks in no small part to renowned jazz drummer Antonio Sánchez, who provided the soundtrack. Now, you can experience this epic performance live.
Saturday – Rebel Genius
This new musical from award-winning songwriter and composer Matthew Puckett examines what happens when physics and love collide. Young and highly ambitious physicist Albert Einstein has fallen madly in love with mathematician Mileva Maric, but few expect him to risk everything in the name of the perfect theory.
Sunday – St. Patrick’s Day at Angel City
Think we’re done with Angel City? Not quite! Angel City is bringing a little bit of the Emerald Isle to Los ANgeles with its annual St Patrick’s Day celebration this Sunday. Live music will be provided by The Kilgary Mountain Band, with corned beef tacos by Downtown Taco, and a special release of the Imperial Irish Red aged in Jameson Barrels.
