Authorities sought public help to find a 16-year-old diabetic teen who went missing in Altadena and needs his medication.
His caregivers reported that DeJuan Rhodes lives in a group home in the 2900 block of El Nido Drive and officials said he was seen about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in Altadena reported.
Officials described Rhodes as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark blue shorts.
“He is diabetic — insulin dependent — and requires additional medication,” according to officials said. “His family and caregivers have not seen or heard from him. They are very concerned and asking for the public’s help in locating him.”
Anyone with information about the young man can contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Altadena Station at (626) 798-1131, or contact Crimestoppers.
Officials previously reported the teen missing in August. He was described as a “runaway juvenile” and went missing for several hours.
