POMONA (CNS) – Authorities today identified a homeless woman whose body was found near railroad tracks in Pomona.
The woman’s body was found about 1:45 p.m. Friday in the 3300 block of West Temple Avenue, according to Pomona Police Department Sgt. Brian Hagerty.
She was identified as Leslie Olivera, 37, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported. No foul play was suspected in the death, police said.
Some people who know the woman said they hadn’t seen her in a while and found her body when they went to look for her, according to Hagerty, who said some belongings and a pitched tent believed to be the woman’s were found nearby.
