SAN PEDRO (CNS) – A driver was killed and passenger was hospitalized today in a rollover crash of a Bentley that slammed into a tree on a San Pedro street.
The crash was reported at 6:47 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Western Avenue, Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The driver of the 2014 Bentley was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, Sgt. N. Vargas of the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Bureau said.
Investigators at the scene determined speed was a factor in the male driver losing control of the Bentley, rolling it and crashing into a tree, she said. No other vehicles were involved.
