POMONA (CNS) – The eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway connector to the southbound Route 71 in the Pomona area will be temporarily closed this weekend for pavement work.
The connector will close at 10 p.m. Friday and remain closed through 5 a.m. Monday, Caltrans reported.
The connector will be closed again from 10 p.m. Aug. 7 through 5 a.m. Aug. 10, according to Caltrans.
The closures will enable crews to excavate cracked pavement, remove debris, compact the base and pour new concrete.
The construction is part of the larger “I-10 HOV Lane Construction Project,” which will add a carpool lane in each direction on Interstate 10 between the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway and the Orange (57) Freeway, according to Caltrans.
