PASADENA (CNS) – Morning commuters on the Gold Line through Pasadena may experience a delay Monday with trains sharing a track between two stations while crews repair overhead power lines, authorities said today.
The trains will share a track between Sierra Madre Villa and Lake Avenue stations during the morning commute, running at 10-12 minute intervals, Metro spokesman Dave Sotero said.
“Metro personnel are assigned at the affected stations in Pasadena to assist with customer information until all repairs are complete and normal operation can resume,” Sotero said.
Information about the delays and the service schedule will be made at the stations and on trains, he said.
Trains will operate on both tracks between Atlantic Boulevard and Lake Avenue stations to the south and Sierra Madre Villa and APU/Citrus College stations to the north, Sotero said.
The power line issue came to light Friday when there was no train service between the Lake Avenue and Sierra Madre stations and shuttle buses were needed to bridge the gap.
