PASADENA (CNS) – Metro Gold Line rail service was sharing one track in a stretch through Pasadena this morning due to repairs being made to overhead electric lines that power the trains.
The single track is being used between Del Mar and Sierra Madre Villa stations, according to Metro spokesman Dave Sotero.
“Trains are currently operating approximately every 20 minutes,” Sotero said. “Customer announcements are being made on trains and at stations.”
The problem was reported about 12:11 p.m. Friday north of the Allen Station.
Gold Line service was halted between the Lake and Sierra Madre stations and shuttle buses were requested to transport riders on Friday, the agency reported.
On Monday, repair work on downed lines necessitated single-tracking through the Allen, Lake and Sierra Madre stations.
Those repairs were completed on Thursday, Metro said.
