BALDWIN PARK (CNS) – Two lanes of the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Baldwin Park reopened today, along with the northbound transition road from the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, nearly six hours after a big rig dumped debris in lanes.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the big rig lost its load around 10:20 p.m. Friday on the eastbound 10 Freeway just past the 605 Freeway overcrossing. The spill prompted the closure of the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the eastbound San Bernardino Freeway, as well as the northbound 605 Freeway transition to the 10 Freeway, authorities said.
The affected lanes were reopened around 4 a.m.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
No other vehicles were involved, and no injuries were reported.
