Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run vehicle in West L.A.

WEST LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A pedestrian was fatally injured in the West Los Angeles area this morning, and police later detained the motorist allegedly involved in the hit-and-run crash.

The victim was struck by an older-model box truck with faded “Penske” signage on it about 6:20 a.m. at Pico and Sepulveda boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The person who was allegedly behind the wheel was later taken into custody for questioning, police said.

Information was not immediately available on the identity or gender of the fatally injured person.
