The City of West Covina announced Wednesday the selection of a developer for a new development on Azusa Avenue.
The 218-acre site will become a 400-room resort hotel and park. An amphitheater, horseback riding and hiking trails, a campsite and habitat preservation are all slated for installation at the site. Additionally, the park will be anchored by zipline and virtual reality attractions.
The site was formerly the BKK landfill. For some time, environmental hazards were a top concern at City Hall, but Singpoli has vowed to mitigate the risks.
“We look forward to working with the City of West Covina team,” Singpoli Chief Financial Officer William Chu said.
