Three men were found dead on Thursday in an apartment across the corner from the Last Bookstore in downtown Los Angeles. Authorities said they suspect drug overdoses caused the deaths.
The bodies were discovered about 7 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of South Spring Street, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
The men were identified as Gabriel Dirzo, 34; Gilbert Valenzuela Jr., 41, of Los Angeles; and Robert Ramirez, 36, of Alhambra, Winter said. According to authorities, Dirzo lived in the apartment.
Autopsies were pending to determine the causes of their deaths, which were being investigated as possible drug overdoses, Winter said.
