EV car owners could get triple incentive to buy or lease zero-emission cars.
A bill passed the state Senate Transportation Committee on Tuesday that would ensure higher amounts and more reliable funding for battery and hydrogen fuel cell electric car rebates.
The current rebate for ZEVs starts at $2,500. The new measure, proposed by State Assemblyman Phil Ting of San Francisco, would allow the California Air Resources Board to potentially raise that amount to $7,500.
