LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A female pedestrian was struck and killed today by “several vehicles” on the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, a fire spokesperson said.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 5:15 a.m. to the northbound freeway near Temple Street, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by “several vehicles,” Stewart said.
“Traffic will be impacted on the northbound 110 for undetermined period of time,” she said.
A Sigalert issued at 5:35 a.m. closing the Eighth Street on-ramp to the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway remained in effect, the California Highway Patrol reported.
No further information was released about the victim.
