Woman with schizophrenia missing from Norwalk home


NORWALK (CNS) – Authorities today sought public help to find a woman with schizophrenia who went missing in Norwalk.

Yessel Guadalupe Lopez, 19, is Hispanic, 5-feet-2 inches tall, weighs 175 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.

She was last seen about 10 p.m. Sunday when she left her home in the 12100 block of Pine Street. She was carrying a brown backpack.

“Yessel suffers from schizophrenia and has (the) mental capacity of an 8-year-old,” a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department statement said. “Her family is very concerned for her well-being.”
